The Carlton Hotel St. Moritz reaches the top ten international haute cuisine establishments

“Intuition is our finest ingredient!”

St. Moritz/Brusaporto – The Carlton Hotel celebrates the end of the winter season as a top gourmet destination thanks to its restaurant, Da Vittorio – St. Moritz. Brothers Enrico and Roberto Cerea have made the top ten of La Liste’s 1000 most remarkable restaurants, having achieved ninth place for 2017 with their restaurant Da Vittorio in Brusaporto, Italy.

With three Michelin stars, Da Vittorio has been one of the very top addresses for international haute cuisine for decades. “In our kitchen, we use fresh, high-quality products that are traditionally prepared, and we apply our own individual interpretation through the use of modern technology”, say the pair, who have remained faithful to their style for many years, and who have ranked among the world’s top chefs for some time now.

After working with some of the best restaurateurs in the world, among them Heinz Winkler in Aschau, Sirio Maccioni in New York, Georges Blanc in Vonnas, Ferran Adrià at the legendary El Bulli, and the unforgettable Troisgros brothers in Roanne to name just a few, the Cerea brothers are now continuing the family tradition in their native Brusaporto with their restaurant Da Vittorio. “Intuition is our finest ingredient!” The pair are ready to rumble for the fifth time in their Engadine offshoot, Da Vittorio – St. Moritz, this winter season at the Carlton Hotel. Doors open on 16 December 2016.

The restaurant is open from Wednesday to Monday evening, and tables can be reserved by calling +41 81 836 70 00 or e-mailing

100 years of the Carlton Hotel St. Moritz – the history
The Carlton Hotel St. Moritz opened during the Christmas season of 1913 and was the fifth luxury hotel in the village of St. Moritz in the Engadine region. It experienced a golden age during the 1930s, with guests arriving from across the world. In 2007, the Kipp-Bechtolsheimer family, owners of the hotel, succeeded in bringing back the glamour and charm of this era following a complete renovation that lasted 18 months. Today, the Carlton Hotel is among the most spectacular hotels in Switzerland with its fantastic location at around 2000 metres above sea level and the breathtaking views out across Lake St. Moritz. “We strive to offer our guests a truly unique and wonderful experience – an escape from everyday life and a change of scenery with the very highest quality of service”, explains Dominic Bachofen, Hotel Manager, who has been running the hotel together with his wife, Laurence, since 2009. “When you run a luxury hotel, you have to be a passionate host.” By combining historical and modern elements and incorporating elaborate details of superior quality, interior designer Carlo Rampazzi succeeded in creating an atmosphere that not only allows guests to experience the luxury of a five-star hotel, but also invites them to explore a magical world of luxury, beauty and well-being.
