City School Ajman to commence classes from April 2017
Spread over a sprawling 1 million sq. ft area with 200,000 sq. ft of open space, the AED 110 million project provides a variety of educational facilities in a safe environment.
The largest CBSE curriculum school in Ajman, City School is now open for admissions for the academic year of 2017-18. Located on the junction of Sheikh Ammar Road and Sheikh Mohammed by Zayed Road, the school operates under R Education & Academic Development (READ), the education arm of R Holding. READ ventured into the education sector in Ajman in 2012 with the inception of City University College of Ajman (CUCA).
Promising academic excellence coupled with a wide array of extra-curricular activities, Mr. Imran Khan (CEO, READ) said; “City School caters to the need for a quality educational institute in the Emirate. It aims to create and sustain a student-centred learning environment integrated with the UAE Vision 2021. Our educators are encouraged to meet the needs of all learners by designing academically challenging tasks to develop independent thinkers. We aim to ensure the highest quality of education through emphasis on recruiting highly qualified teachers and ensuring regular training programs to keep them abreast with the changing trends in education.”
At the newly developed state-of-art educational facility, students will have access to well-equipped science and computer laboratories. Along with outdoor sporting facilities that feature a swimming pool, athletic tracks, basketball, tennis and badminton courts, the school will also provide a playpen and rumpus room for younger students. Well-kitted music and art rooms are made available for the use of students. The school also features a well-resourced medical clinic with a paediatric nurse available at all times.
Khan added, “The school campus has been designed with the students’ convenience and comfort in mind. We realize that surroundings and environment have a profound effect on children at various stages of development. At City School, we ensure that apart from benefitting from excellent education, students are provided with a positive physical environment that will help them thrive and enhance their learning experience”.
Speaking about the School’s philosophy and ethos, Principal of the School, Mr. Richard Monteiro, said in a statement, “The essence of education at City School will be the holistic or all round development of the child. Students will learn through creativity and self-discovery allowing them to emerge as confident world class citizens. We will endeavour to join hands with the parents to instil humility and respect in the students, inculcating the values of social responsibility, to nurture these young minds and to educate them to be positive contributors to the UAE society and the world at large.”
Enrolments for the academic year 2017-18 have begun and the school promises academic excellence along with a wide array of extracurricular activities. City School is recognized by the Ministry of Education and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi.
